VulHunter can be deployed on-premises or to the cloud. VulHunter is used to assist users to detect and verify vulnerabilities within applications during their developing and testing processes.

VulHunter’s CWE contents are mainly included in an Excel file (offline), and the ‘Help’ section (online) on the VulHunter’s GUI as the screenshot below. They are updated and published as a part of the documentation available to users.

Map Currency Update Approach <CR_6.2>

Indicate how often you plan on updating the mappings to reflect the current CWE content and describe your approach to keeping reasonably current with the CWE content when mapping them to your repository (recommended):

VulHunter’s CWE capability mappings are updated along with the release of the product at a pace of 3 months per time. They include new security checkers to find more CWEs.

Describe how and where you explain to your customers the timeframe they should expect an update of your capability’s mappings to reflect newly available CWE content (required):

A new version of VulHunter is released every 3 months. CWE mappings will be updated typically when new checkers are introduced if required. They will be included in Release Notes as a part of the documentation that is accessible to users.

FINDING CWE IDENTIFIERS USING ELEMENTS IN REPORTS <CR_A.2.2>

Give detailed examples and explanations of how, for reports that identify individual security elements, the tool allows the user to determine the associated CWE identifier for the individual security elements in the report (required):

In the VulHunter Application Security Report, all vulnerabilities which are detected and analyzed are demonstrated to the users by severity and certain compliance. CWE identifiers are also displayed in a detailed breakdown of vulnerabilities, so does the number of vulnerabilities that pass or fail relative CWE classification. Please refer to the screenshots below.

GETTING A LIST OF CLAIMED CWE IDENTIFIER COVERAGE <CR_A.2.3>

VulHunter supports exporting documents in two different formats (word and pdf) to access CWE-related data. To access the CWE-related content, users can search the keywords by using the search function of the document browser (e.g., Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat DC) or access via the table of content.
